Death of five-month-old baby being treated as "unexplained"

The death of a five-month-old baby girl in a Perthshire village is being treated as “unexplained”.

The incident took place in Bridgeton Brae, Almondbank on Monday (February 15) morning.

Police officers’ enquiries in the area are ongoing.

A police spokesperson said: “At around 9.40am on Monday, February 15 police received a report a five-month-old baby girl had died in Bridgeton Brae, Almondbank.

“The death is being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing.”
