Police are appealing for information into the death of an elderly woman who was struck by a van in Bearsden.
Emergency services raced to Speirs Road after the 80-year-old was hit by a white Citroen Relay Panel van at around 12pm this afternoon.
She was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
Her family has been made aware.
Speirs Road and Albert Drive were closed to traffic as crash scene investigators examined the scene.
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: Road Policing Sergeant Jon Mochan said: "We are supporting the woman's family at this incredibly difficult time.
"Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the collision. I would urge anyone who may have witnessed the crash but has not yet spoken to police to come forward. I am particularly keen to speak to anyone who may have dash cam footage which could help with our investigation."
Information can be provided to Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 1484 of 28 May.
