Death in Paradise fans could expect the return of character Florence Cassell, played by Josephine Jobert, to make a return to the series as she left Saint Marie earlier this year.
Viewers had to say goodbye to Josephine's character Florence in series eight, but it appears she may be missing life in the Caribbean as she left a comment on co-star Shyko Amos's Instagram page which hints she is full of regret.
The star made her debut in series four but decided to after four seasons to leave for "personal and professional reasons".
When she first left the show, Josephine said: "I quit the show for personal and professional reasons. Nothing dramatic, I swear everything is fine. It’s just that I’ve been working on Death in Paradise for five years."
She continued: "It’s been a tough decision but, you know, that’s life."
At the time of her departure, a video was posted on the show's official Twitter account where she thanked her co-stars.
The actress paid dedication to Ardal O'Hanlon, Tobi Bakare and Shyko Amos, when she admitted she'd "miss" all of them.
And it appears Josephine wasn't lying as a comment left on one of Amos's snaps from filming suggests just how much she misses being on set for the show.
On a snap uploaded by Amos in June of himself and director Paulette Randall, among hundreds of comments from fans was one left by Josephine.
She wrote: "Nice!! Dear, I wish I'd been there."
Co-star Amos liked the comment. Could the comment mean she is open to returning to Death Paradise soon?
Her character Florence was shot in season eight, but never actually died. Instead, she left the fictional island of Saint Marie of her own accord.
However, if Jobert does return to the hit BBC comedy-drama, she will have to wait until season 10 to make a return to the show.
