What is Death and Nightingales about?

Set in the beautiful yet haunting countryside of Fermanagh in 1885, Death and Nightingales tells the story of 23-year-old Beth Winters, a young girl desperate to escape the confines of her life under the rule of her staunch Protestant dad Billy.

Having met a handsome and mysterious man named Liam Ward, played by Dornan, Beth grapples with her decisions and feelings as she tries to follow her heart and run into the arms of Liam, finding her destiny.

But the path to happiness isn’t a smooth one for Beth, who finds herself trapped between two worlds with actions that could rip two very different families apart.
