IT really seems as though nobody at any level of society seems they can be bothered with Liz Truss right now.
Having faced heavy criticism in the House of Commons on Wednesday about her Chancellor’s disastrous mini budget, Liz Truss had an audience with the King at Buckingham Palace.
The King might not exactly be in touch with the rest of us, but he did seem to sum up what everyone is thinking on this particular occasion.
The pair greeted each other with Liz Truss telling the King “it’s lovely to see you again” as Charles noted she was “back again”.

However, whilst Liz Truss said it was a “great pleasure”, Charles can be heard simply saying “dear, oh dear”.
It’s hard to think of three words which better sum up the new PM’s time in the job thus far.
She’s successfully sent the pound to record lows, refused to rule out imposing real terms cuts to benefits and given a series of car-crash local radio interviews which showed how completely out of touch Truss really is.
“Dear, oh dear” indeed.
Many Twitter users commented how even the King seemed to be sharing the general mood of the nation.
One said: “Perhaps he’s more in touch than we think” whilst another added “he probably can’t believe what a mess she made already”.
Somebody else said: “Think everybody thinking the same thing” whilst another said the King “so clearly shares the despair of the nation”.
