Dear Nicky Morgan ... what would you tell the Education secretary to do for schools in England?

You told us what health secretary Jeremy Hunt needs to do for the NHS. Now we’re inviting you to write a letter outlining what you want Education secretary Nicky Morgan to focus on.

In its election manifesto, the Conservative Party pledged to “ensure a good primary school place for children with zero tolerance of failure”; “turn every failing and coasting secondary school into an academy”; “help teachers to make Britain the best country in the world for delivering maths, engineering, science and computing skills”; “create 3 million new apprenticeships; and make sure there is no cap on university places so there is aspiration for all.”

On her reappointment Nicky Morgan tweeted:

Current issues the Education secretary will have to look at include funding for schools in the face of shrinking budgets and the opening of new schools where there is demand because of the recent baby boom.

What needs to be prioritised for schools in England? Do you have any positive experiences of the education system you would like to share with Nicky Morgan? Perhaps you’d like to tell her what the education system means to you? Or, if you work in a school, what would you like her to know about your job? No matter how the education system affects you, we’d like you to share your letters.
