Police said today (Thursday) that he has since been released under investigation.

Officers previously said that early enquiries suggest the victim might have been involved in an altercation with the people in the Audi just before the crash.

After the incident, Superintendent Arif Nawaz, of GMP's City of Manchester division, said the victim's family were 'understandably devastated'.
