DeAngelo Hall reveals that Patriots made him big offer in 2008

It turns out DeAngelo Hall was almost a member of the New England Patriots.

Back in 2008, Hall had plenty of options but ultimately chose to sign with the Washington Redskins, turning down a three-year offer from the Patriots. Hall is a native of Chesapeake, Virginia, and played his college ball at Virginia Tech.

Peter Schrager of Fox Sports recounted the conversation:

Hall went on to be a force for the Redskins for years, staying with the team from 2008-2017 after his initial four-year run in Atlanta.

While Hall was almost constantly injured from 2014-2017, appearing in only 23 games, he still remained a leader in the locker room and this past offseason even interviewed for a spot on the team’s coaching staff.

Hall has since decided to move to NFL Network, where he’ll undoubtedly have more interesting stories to share in the near future.
