DeAngelo Hall received offer from Patriots for three-year deal in 2008

DeAngelo Hall could’ve been a New England Patriot.

The highly-decorated cornerback spent a majority of his career with the Washington Redskins. Hall revealed on NFL Network that things could’ve gone differently in his career after being released by the Oakland Raiders in 2008.

The Patriots reportedly offered him three-year, $27 million deal that would’ve changed the complexity of his career. He turned that offer down and then signed with the Redskins on a six-year, $54 million deal.

Although he doesn’t regret the decision — it still does linger on his mind from time to time.

“No regrets,” Hall said. “I loved my time with the Redskins. That was home. But, yeah, I think about that decision time to time.”
