DeAndre Jordan to reporter: 'It's hard to hear you with all these cheers'

Nov. 12--DeAndre Jordan knew the atmosphere at American Airlines Center on Wednesday would be hostile when the Clippers played the Mavericks in Dallas for the first time this season, and as expected he has been consistently booed throughout the first half of the game.

At halftime, Fox Sports West sideline reporter Kyle Montgomery asked Jordan what the emotions were like on the court. Jordan's response: "It's hard to hear you with all these cheers."

Jordan had five points -- off of two dunks and a free throw -- and a game-high eight rebounds in less than 17 minutes in the first half to help the Clippers take a 54-53 lead.

The Clippers' center, who backed out of a verbal commitment to join the Mavericks during free agency in July, has also been taunted by fans' signs.

One sign read: "42% FT shooter. 100% coward."

Another sign showed a photo of Jordan's face superimposed on a dog's body, with Chris Paul holding the leash. It read: "Stay puppy stay."

Mavericks owner Mark Cuban said before the game that he wanted to show some parody videos of Jordan throughout the game, but was discouraged from doing so by the NBA.

"Entertainment is one thing, but the league is kind of finicky about that stuff," Cuban said.
