DeAndre Hopkins set to announce a Texans’ 2nd round draft pick

Houston Texans receiver DeAndre Hopkins has been announced as the team’s representative in the second round to announce one of their selections. The first-team All-Pro and Pro Bowl selection is arguably the best receiver currently in the NFL and will serve as an excellent ambassador for the team.

While it is not known if he will announce the 54th or 55th overall selection, or potentially both, it comes as no surprise that arguably the biggest star of the franchise is being called in to represent them.

This is not the first time the Texans have been represented by their stars at the draft. Back in 2017 linebacker and current assistant strength coach Brian Cushing announced their selection of running back D’Onta Foreman, while that same year former star receiver and current special adviser to the general manager and head coach Andre Johnson announced the selection of linebacker Zach Cunningham.
