Georgia cornerback Deandre Baker was the only Bulldog to make Pro Football Focus’s Top-50 Big Board. The big board is based on how PFF graded NFL Draft eligible players for this past season. WR Riley Ridley has generated first round buzz, but did not put up incredible numbers this past season and for this reason he is punished by PFF’s Big Board.
Here’s where Baker checked in:
Baker is the #16 overall prospect and the #3 overall CB on the board. He is ranked behind Washington CB Byron Murphy and LSU CB Greedy Williams. They are close together, but I think Baker is the best CB in this draft. Based on the body of work from this season and the year before, I don’t see any other CB prospect being able to match Baker’s impressive résumé.
