Dean Windass admits he was reduced to tears watching his son Josh playing for Rangers .
The former Aberdeen striker admits he expected a frosty relationship with Light Blues faithful due to his Dons connections but admits they made him feel like part of the family.
Windass played for the Ibrox side between 2016 and 2018 and was a key player for Rangers before his move to Wigan last summer.
And senior has opened up on the emotion behind watching his son run out at Ibrox.
He told Open Goal Sport: "When I went there and they started singing Penny Arcade.
"When they started playing Penny Arcade.
"I'm a crybaby me, and I had tears in my eyes watching my son walk out for one of the biggest clubs in the country with the best fanbase you could ever meet in your life. I was so proud."
Asked by host Simon Ferry what game it was that moved him so much.
He said: "I can't remember. Eh, I think it was the Aberdeen game."
Windass made 93 appearances for the Dons and scored 31 goals during his three-year stay at Pittodrie in the 90s.
