Dean Lockhart tribute to be paid at Glentoran league game

A minute's applause will be held during Glentoran's game with Crusaders on Saturday in memory of Dean Lockhart.

The 36-year-old's body was discovered in a Highland woodland area in Scotland on Wednesday after he had been reported missing from Munlochy the previous day.

Dean - who was originally from Belfast but had settled in Scotland following his Army service - was a lifelong Glentoran fan who followed the Glens wherever he was in the world.

The East Belfast club paid tribute to Dean on Thursday, and have now confirmed that a minute's applause will be held in the 36th minute of Saturday's league game with Crusaders at the Oval.

Glentoran said on their website: "On the 36th minute there will be a minute’s applause in respect of lifelong Glenman Dean Lockhart who sadly passed away in Scotland earlier this week. Dean was aged 36.

"We encourage all those in attendance from either club to please join in this tribute to this long standing and much missed member of the Glentoran Family."
