Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson reportedly stormed out of the club's training ground after discovering he wasn't playing against Aston Villa, despite being promised otherwise.
The England international was expected to start Monday's FA Cup tie, as many Premier League managers opt to deploy their second-choice stopper in cup competitions.
Ralf Rangnick, however, gave David de Gea the nod. The Man Utd boss couldn't afford to take any risks due to the FA Cup being the club's best chance of winning silverware this season.
The Red Devils are already out of the EFL Cup and Premier League title race. They are still in the Champions League but aren't expected to win it.
Henderson came through the ranks at Old Trafford, but he wants to play regularly and force his way back into Gareth Southgate's England squad ahead of the World Cup in Qatar.

He caught the attention of Man Utd fans after a stunning two-year loan spell at Sheffield United, helping the Blades win promotion from the Championship and finish ninth in the Premier League.
Henderson went on to become former manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's first-choice stopper last season, making 13 Premier League appearances after displacing De Gea.
But an injury and the Spaniard's return to form has seen the 24-year-old fall back down the pecking order at Man Utd, playing just twice in all competitions this season.
Henderson has already expressed his desire to leave the club in January, but Rangnick wants him to stay in case De Gea suffers an injury or loss in form.
"A couple of weeks ago he asked me [if he could leave] but I told him I’d rather have him stay until the end of the season," said the German.
"We are very happy with our goalkeepers but if it’s up to me I wouldn’t want him to leave."
Rangnick will need play Henderson if he's to keep him onside, though, and rumours suggest he didn't stick to his recent promise.
According to the Webby & O'Neill YouTube channel, on which Paul Scholes this week launched a rant on the "poisonous" Man Utd environment, the manager originally promised Henderson the gloves against Villa in the FA Cup.
It's alleged the goalkeeper stormed out of Carrington on hearing the news and wasn't included in Rangnick's 20-man squad for the game at Old Trafford.
Henderson is now expected to be absent from Rangnick's next matchday squad when Man Utd take on Villa again on Saturday and could even get his transfer wish.

Newcastle are the favourites for his signature and can afford his £100,000-a-week salary after a Saudi-back consortium completed a takeover in October.
Dutch giants Ajax are also in the running and so are Southampton, who were recently forced to sign Willy Caballero, 40, to bolster their goalkeeping department.
Brentford are another realistic option - if Man Utd can cover some of Henderson's wages - after losing first-choice goalkeeper David Raya to a serious knee injury in October.
“We’ve seen goalkeepers who are happy to take that second fiddle role," former England midfielder Trevor Sinclair told talkSPORT in December. "I don’t think he is that person.
"I think he wants to be the main man and if he wants to be the main man, he is not going to do it at Man Utd with the current circumstances because David de Gea is playing too well."
