Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is expected to rotate his squad again when Manchester United host Newcastle in the Premier League fixture on Sunday night
United were excellent in their Europa League win over Real Sociedad but now face a different kind of test against one of the top-flight's most defensive sides.
Having toyed with squad rotation throughout the season Solskjaer might settle on only a couple of changes when they welcome Newcastle this weekend.
Dean Henderson deserves to have a run in the starting line up and should start ahead of David de Gea in goal, while the same can be said for Eric Bailly in the centre of defence. The Ivorian is the best suited partner to captain Harry Maguire, although Solskjaer often prefers to go with Victor Lindelof.
Luke Shaw will return at left-back while Aaron Wan-Bissaka is the only real option on the right. He is in need of a rest, but that should come in their Europa League second-leg next week.
Injury to Paul Pogba and Donny van de Beek left United with little option against Sociedad in Turin and a midfield three of Bruno Fernandes, Scott McTominay and Fred once again makes the most sense.
Up front Edinson Cavani should start if he's recovered from injury with Mason Greenwood and Marcus Rashford the best suited to the wide roles.
The likes of Amad, Anthony Martial, Daniel James and Axel Tuanzebe should be on the bench but would be more logical selections in the second-leg versus Sociedad.
United predicted XI vs Newcastle: Henderson; Wan-Bissaka, Bailly, Maguire, Shaw; McTominay, Fred, Fernandes; Greenwood, Rashford, Cavani.
