Dean Gaffney has proved that he’s a doting grandad with his latest Instagram post.
The former EastEnders star, 43, delighted his followers when he posted a rare family snap after the birth of his granddaughter Mimi.
It comes after the actor’s beloved daughter Chloe, 24, welcomed her little one last month.
It’s clear that Dean is utterly besotted with little Mimi as he shared an adorable snap of himself gazing lovingly at the newborn as she lay in his arms.
Former soap star Dean looked overwhelmed as he cast a proud smile across his face in the sweet black and white image.
Dean recently admitted that he couldn’t be prouder of his daughter after she welcomed her first child.
The Robbie Jackson actor also insisted that he’s happy about being a young grandad at 43.
Opening up about the milestone moment in his life, Dean told The Sun: “I’m so proud.
“Lots of my mates are becoming dads, but I’m a grandad at the same age.
“The only person I know who’s in the same boat as me is Danny Dyer, who has a grandchild at 43. I’ll be calling him for tips. We could do grandaddy day care together.”
The TV star went on: ““I’m hoping people will see me pushing a pram in the street and go, ‘Oh, is that your child?’
“Because although I’ve got grey hair, I don’t think I look like a grandad just yet.”
Back in July, Dean shared the joyful news that his daughter and her partner Declan had welcomed baby Mimi.
Alongside a photo of himself cradling his newborn granddaughter, Dean wrote: “Welcome to this crazy world, my beautiful granddaughter Mimi. I can’t believe my baby is now a mother, proud is an understatement.”
Dean played Robbie Jackson on the BBC One soap from 1993 to 2019.
The star was written out of the soap in 2019 after he messaged a woman after woman online asking for racy photographs.
