Former Superman actor Dean Cain has announced his decision to join Immigration and Customs Enforcement as an agent to support President Donald Trump’s immigration enforcement efforts. The actor, who played the superhero in the 1990s television series Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, revealed his plans during an appearance on Fox News with host Jesse Watters on Wednesday night.
According to The Guardian, Cain explained that his decision to join ICE came after he shared one of the agency’s recruitment videos on his Instagram account on Tuesday. The post gained significant attention after Watters mentioned it on his show. Cain, who is already a sworn deputy sheriff and reserve police officer, told Watters that he had spoken with ICE officials and would be sworn in as an agent as soon as possible.
When asked about his motivation for joining the federal law enforcement agency, Cain, who once complained about having to wear a mask on a plane, effectively confirmed he’s trading his Superman cape for an ICE badge to help Trump’s deportation agenda. He stated that the country was built on patriots stepping up to do the right thing, whether it was popular or not. He emphasized his belief that supporting the current immigration enforcement efforts was the right course of action.
ICE receives major funding boost as recruitment drive intensifies
The federal agency has recently received $75 billion in additional funding as part of what Trump has called his “big beautiful bill.” This funding includes provisions for hiring an additional 10,000 ICE agents by 2029. The agency has been conducting aggressive immigration raids since Trump returned to the White House, with reports of ICE terrorizing Latino communities and canceling summer events, and currently aims to make a minimum of 3,000 arrests per day.
Haters gonna hate. You're a real G @RealDeanCain for joining ICE to help keep the country safer. Btw Dean Cain's Superman would have beat the shit out of the 2025 Superman. 2025 Superman was a bitch throughout the whole movie.

Cain expressed his support for the president’s immigration policies during the Fox News interview, stating that Trump ran on this platform and is now delivering on his promises. He noted that this is what people voted for, including himself, and that he would do his part to help ensure the implementation of these policies. The actor also said he hoped other former officers and former ICE agents would follow his example and help the agency meet its recruitment goals immediately.
The immigration raids have sparked protests across the United States, with reports of undocumented people, residents with protected legal status, and even American citizens being detained in the deportation system. The Trump administration has responded by jailing and prosecuting protesters, as well as civilians who film and object to ICE arrests. Despite the controversy surrounding these enforcement actions, Cain maintained that while the immigration system needs Congressional reform, supporting current enforcement efforts is necessary in the interim.
