Deals replacing Eat Out to Help Out in September - Pizza Hut, TGI Fridays and more

Companies are queueing up to launch offers in September, after the Government's Eat Out to Help Out scheme ends.

There is now only one day left to take advantage of Chancellor Rishi Sunak's plan to get people eating in restaurants again - with bank holiday Monday the last time the Treasury will be subsidising restaurant meals.

While some restaurants have taken it upon themselves to continue the scheme - which offers people dining in 50% off food and non-alcoholic drinks on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays - and fund it themselves, others have brought in offers of their own.

Here are some of the best deals we've seen deals that will be on the table from September 1st onwards.

Pizza Hut

Pizza Hut has it's own two-for-one deal in the works (Pizza Hut)

Pizza Hut is offering two for one on main meals Monday to Wednesday from September 7 onwards.

The deal lasts until the end of September, but it is only available for people who are signed up to their database. You can sign up to the database and the discounts here.

Pizza Hut has 260 restaurants in the UK.

Fridays

Fridays is offering free starters (PA)

Fridays has said it will be offering free appetisers with main meals starting on Tuesday 1 September and then every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday for the first two weeks of September.

Every appetiser on the menu is in the offer, including Cheese Nachos, Mozzarella Dippers and Fridays vegan friendly Avocado Houmous.

To redeem, guests will simply have to present the offer on the Fridays Rewards App to their Fridays team member before ordering.

Full terms and conditions of the September can be found on the Fridays website.

BOXPARK

BOXPARK will be offering discounted drinks and meals from over 30 of its street food traders throughout September.

Participating traders at Boxpark sites in Shoreditch, Croydon and Wembley will be offering 20% off meals up to £10 a person for customers dining-in on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Diners can also get up to 20% off during the rest of the week (Thursdays to Sundays) across select street food traders, with the BOXPARK Black Card.

Deliveroo

Deliveroo will be letting people ordering takeaways get money off in September - knocking £5 off the cost of hundreds of thousands of meals ordered from local restaurants when you spend £20 on an order.

Nationwide chains can get involved too - but need to fund the £5 off themselves.

Available on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays in September, customers need to enter the following codes to get the deal:

  • EATIN1 between September 1 and 2
  • EATIN2 between September 7 and 9
  • EATIN3 between September 14 and 16
  • EATIN4 between September 21 and 23
  • EATIN5 between September 28 and 30

Brigadiers is offering offer 20% the full menu (excluding alcohol) throughout September if you say “Stay Eating Out” when booking between 5 and 6 on Tuesday, midday and 6pm on Wednesday and midday and 5pm on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturday.
