Tembo originally suggested they were Smarties but quickly came clean and said they were ecstasy tablets for his own use.

Officers also found a photographic film tub containing cannabis and he was taken to Elland Road police station.

In a pair of jogging bottoms underneath his trousers, police also found further ziplock bags with cocaine inside.

Judge Mushtaq Khokhar told Tembo: “These offences are very serious offences because those who are out and about at that time generally speaking are younger people who frequent nightclubs.

“If they get hooked on these drugs, in particular cocaine, it destroys lives.”

Tembo, of Easterly Road, Roundhay, admitted two counts of possession with intent to supply class A drugs and one count of possession with intent to supply class B drugs.

He was handed a 24-month prison sentence, suspended for 18 months, and will be fitted with an electronic tag as part of a four-month curfew.

Tembo must also carry out 12 rehabilitation activity requirement days.
