Deal struck for highways firm Via to add new Nottingham warehouse

A deal has been struck for a highways services firm to add a new Nottingham warehouse to their operation.

Commercial property specialists NG Chartered Surveyors brokered a deal for a Nottinghamshire County Council's highways and fleet management services firm, Via East Midlands to expand its Data Collection service into the new building.

Acting on behalf of an investor landlord, NG director Sunny Landa sealed the deal for Via to move into the 3,326 ft warehouse and workshop space at Unit 12, Robin Hood Industrial Estate - less than half a mile from Nottingham city centre. The move adds to Via's warehouse facilities.

The company was established in 2016, and owned by Nottinghamshire County Council since April 2019.

It provides highways maintenance, design and consultancy, construction, signals and lighting, landscaping, environmental management, land surveying, road safety, fleet services and a dedicated highways training centre.

Mr Landa said: "This is a particularly pleasing deal as Via was searching for a high-quality site close to their office facilities at Trent Bridge and able to service their county-wide operations. Yet again, NG had the knowledge to match this fantastic unit to a high profile new tenant.

"Via provide essential services throughout the region, and we wish them all the best with their new Nottingham city centre home."

Neil Hodgson, Head of Consultancy for Via East Midlands, said: “This new warehouse facility will support the services we deliver on the highways, in particular our data collection service, throughout Nottinghamshire and to our commercial customers.

“It will allow us to continue our growth and is ideally positioned to service our operations in the south of the county.”
