Head coach Russell Martin admitted the forward's 17-minute cameo in a goalless draw against Celtic today was probably his last appearance in a Rangers shirt.
In terms of incomings, The Rangers Review also reports that a move for the Ibrox club to sign Youssef Chermiti - worth an initial £8million rising to £10m - is in its final stages with the forward set to undergo a medical.
Chermiti joined Everton two years ago from Sporting CP, but has failed to score in any of his 24 appearances for the English Premier League club.
"I think we're close to a couple," said Martin, when asked by Sky Sports about Rangers' interest in Chermiti after today's game.
"I only spoke to Kevin [Thelwell] this morning, and we haven't had a chance to catch up since. It's one we're very hopeful of concluding and getting done."
