Deaf Scot vanishes from Dumbarton Football Club stadium leaving family ‘extremely worried’

The family of a deaf man who vanished after leaving work at Dumbarton Football Club stadium are ‘worried sick’ at his ‘out of character’ disappearance. Kevin Haire was last seen at around 11am on Monday, August 1, but failed to return home as normal, leading his concerned loved ones to report him missing.

Police say the 43-year-old sometimes has difficulty communicating and may have travelled to the Glasgow area. He is described as being 5ft 6in, with a medium build and is balding.

When last seen he was wearing a dark coloured hooded top, blue t-shirt, dark coloured trousers and black trainers. He was also carrying a black rucksack.

Inspector Alan Heron said: “Our concern for Kevin is growing, it is out of character for him to not be in touch with his family.

“They are understandably upset and I am appealing to anyone who may have seen Kevin or who has any information or knowledge as to his whereabouts to contact us.”

Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 2398 of 1 August, 2022.
