Deadrin Senat earns highest PFF grade for Falcons defense vs. Washington

The Atlanta Falcons lost yet another preseason game on Thursday night, falling 19-7 to the Washington Redskins, but the play of their starting defensive line was extremely encouraging.

Second-year defensive tackle Deadrin Senat earned the team’s top Pro Football Focus grade (84.9) for his dominant play up front. With Adrian Clayborn, Grady Jarrett and Takk McKinley all balling, it can be easy to overlook the 6-foot-1, 314-pound tackle at times. Senat finished with three tackles along with Atlanta’s only sack of the night.

The collective play of the Falcons defensive line might be the key to a return to the playoffs in 2019.
