- The wildfires have tragically resulted in the deaths of three firefighters in separate incidents, including two who perished in a helicopter crash near Psatha after a mid-air collision.
- Authorities have attributed one of the blazes to a faulty power line from a wind farm, leading to the arrest of two contractors on charges of negligent arson.
