The deadline to apply for primary school places is looming for thousands of families across Merseyside.
The deadline for secondary school applications has already passed, but if your children is due to start primary school in September of 2022, the deadline for applications is just days away.
Councils across the Liverpool City Region has shared application dates for schools in their remit, how to apply and what to do if you miss it.

Those wishing to apply for a school outside of their local authority area must apply via their home authority's application.
Councils will send out officers for primary school places on April 16 and for secondary schools on March 1.
If either date falls on a weekend or a bank holiday, offers are sent the next working day.
Knowsley
The closing date for primary school applications is January 15.
Parents can apply online for a school place, picking up to three school preferences. Paper applications can be requested by contacting the Knowsley school admissions team.
Applications naming Knowsley schools as preferences received following the national closing date but before the allocation process begins will be included in the initial allocation of places where practicable- for Knowsley schools this will typically mean preferences received up to 18 February 2022.
Late applications received after 21 February 2022 will not normally be considered by Knowsley schools until the initial allocation process is complete.
Knowsley Admissions Team will not process late applications received between 19 April and 3 May2022 until after 4 May 2022.
The deadline for secondary schools has passed and any new applications will be processed after March 1, 2022.
Liverpool
The closing date for primary school applications is January 15.
Applications can be made online or by requesting a paper form.

If you miss the January 15 deadline, you can submit a late application from January 16, but before March 20 - unless there is a valid reason for being late.
The council warns that schools and local authorities may have late application policies which means that applications received on time will be given priority over late applications.
Sefton
The deadline for primary school applications in January 15.
Applications can be made online via the Citizens Portal, or requesting a paper application.
Children will be offered a place on April 19.
From April 20 the processing begins of any late applications and late changes of preference received on or after February 26.
Wirral
The deadline for primary school applications is midnight on January 15.
Applications can be made via the online Citizens Portal.
Late applications will be considered in May, 2022.
St Helens
The deadline for applications is January 15.
The application can be made via the Reception Year application form.
Applications (including agreed change of preferences) submitted after the closing date will only be considered alongside those who applied on time, when they are received before the allocation procedures begin.
