Deadline for entries to the M.E.N Tech Awards EXTENDED

The deadline for entries to the Manchester Evening News Tech Awards has been extended.

Greater Manchester firms now have until Friday 24 May to submit their entries.

The winners will be announced at a dinner on Thursday 18 July at the Runway Visitor Park, Concorde Conference Centre, Altrincham.

Speaking about the deadline extension, M.E.N business editor Shelina Begum said: "The calibre of entries we have received so far have been great, and we want to give further opportunity for entrants to tell us about their fantastic work.

“The 24 May deadline is the absolute last chance for firms to submit their applications– so if you’ve got award-worthy work to shout about, make you sure you submit it before the deadline”

The M.E.N Tech awards will recognise and reward the very best in tech in Greater Manchester.

Whether you’re an established business or a pioneer working on new projects or an ambitious scale-up, we want to hear about your achievements.

Manchester-based alternative finance firm Praetura is corporate sponsor.  Amazon and Openreach have been confirmed as category sponsors.

Manchester-based software developer Godel has also been confirmed as category sponsor.

Neil McMurdo, CEO of Godel, said: "Godel is delighted to be sponsoring the Best Digital Innovation category at the inaugural MEN Tech Awards.

"As a software development organisation that helps some of the UK’s largest brands to digitise by moving their legacy systems to the cloud – we see first-hand every day the effects innovative technology has on industries.

"At a time when big brands struggle to find the software development skills in the UK to re-engineer software applications, realise the benefits of cloud computing, go mobile or work on innovative technologies such as AI and machine learning, Godel is able to help plug that skills gap, leaving its customers to concentrate on fulfilling the rapid demands of their increasingly digital marketplaces.

"We can’t wait to see what the North West has to offer in terms of the Best Digital Innovation – but we’re sure there will be a plethora of talent to choose from."

Deadline for entries is Friday 24 May. The awards ceremony will take place on Thursday 18 July at the Runway Visitor Park, Concorde Conference Centre, Altrincham.

Companies interested in sponsoring individual award categories should contact Paula Jupp on  0161 279 4071.
