Netflix have confirmed that Dead To Me will have another series.
The streaming giant revealed the news on Twitter on Monday night and added that it will be the final season of the dark comedy.
Breaking the news, the TV and film company penned: "The brilliant Dead To Me has been renewed for a third (and final) season!"
The release date for the final season is yet to be told.
Following the message, writer Liz Feldman said on Instagram "thrilled" to make the announcement and looking forward to continue working with her "incredible, talented" cast and crew.
She wrote: "Thrilled to announce @deadtome will be back for one more season! Grateful to keep working with #christinaapplegate, @lindacardellini, @james_marsden and the amazing writers, cast and crew. Couldn't love these incredible, talented people more."
Fans of the show took to Twitter to tell that they were thrilled at the series returning but many added they are gutted to find out that it will be the final season.
One typed: "IM SO HAPPY RN! but last season?"
Others added: "AND FINAL? NO, Netflix, HELL NOOO" and "u sure 'bout that "final" part tho??"
Season one aired in 2019 and the quirky show, which stars Christina Applegate and Linda Cardellini, was popular with both fans and critics for the way it dealt with death.
Its two female lead characters meet in a bereavement therapy group and bond over their shared heartache.
Applegate plays Jen, a widowed real estate agent trying to come to terms with her loss of her husband, who was killed in a hit and run.
She is angry and resentful of her life, and she meets Judy, who is greiving for her fiancé who died of a heart attack.
Judy is far more positive in her dealings with grief - but she is hiding a dark secret.
Meanwhile, Jen untangles the secret life her husband was leafing and his mysterious death, becoming more and more unhinged.
