The Perth Institute of Contemporary Art will be transformed into a hall of mirrors with Leigh Robb’s Dead Ringer exhibition. With works from over 20 Australian and international artists, the exhibition examines identities operating outside the body, exploring other-worldly encounters, parallel universes, doppelgangers and ghosts.

The exhibition conjures up simulations and doubles through film, painting, photography, installation, 3D printing as well as more unusual mediums such as hypnosis and transcendental meditation.

Highlights include an examination of a tropical forest with a Tahitian chief mourner by Lisa Reihana, Curtis Taylor’s film about the rights of passage into manhood, interviews by Keg de Soua with ghost catchers in Indonesia and Brook Andrew’s photographic compositions about Australia’s gothic histories.
