Dead rats discovered in Glasgow primary school's deep fat fryer

Glasgow City Council's pest control team was called to a Glasgow primary school after dead rats were discovered in a deep fat fryer.

School staff made the shocking find at St Catherine's Primary in Barmulloch, in the north of the city, earlier this week.

It's understood the rats were found while equipment was being routinely cleaned and not in use for actual cooking.

A spokeswoman for Glasgow City Council confirmed the incident and told Glasgow Live: “Our pest control team dealt with a situation at the school swiftly and effectively as soon as it was reported by school and catering staff.”
