Dead & Company are ready to get back “Truckin'” on again.
The phenomenally popular jam band, featuring longtime Grateful Dead members Mickey Hart, Bill Kreutzmann and Bob Weir as well as vocalist-guitarist John Mayer, Allman Brothers’ bassist Oteil Burbridge and Fare Thee Well and RatDog keyboardist Jeff Chimenti, have announced dates for their return to Mexico.
The group’s Playing in the Sand vacation/concert experience takes place Jan. 13-16, 2022, at the Moon Palace Cancun. Dead & Company will be performing three nights of music on a private white sand beach.
Fans won’t be able to buy concert tickets, though. They have to buy all-inclusive packages, which include lodging, food and admission to all three shows.
These packages run $2,112.50-$9,000 and go on sale to the general public at 1 p.m. ET April 9 at www.playinginthesand.com. A presale for previous Playing in the Sand guests begins at 1 p.m. April 7.
