The new Dead by Daylight mobile update is out now, alongside the start of the Sadako Rising event with its Ringu crossover. The Sadako Rising event runs through March 28, 2023, adding Sadako as a stealthy killer to the survival game and Yoichi Asakawa as a new survivor.
Sadako sneaks across the field under cover of darkness and can surprise survivors when they least expect it, and she can also teleport through the TV sets placed around the map. Yoichi is all grown up now and has a range of ghost-hunting skills at his disposal, including the ability to stun a Killer and help injured allies.
While the event only lasts for a few weeks, the update that accompanies it is permanent, part of NetEase and Behaviour’s Dead by Daylight mobile relaunch that revamps the multiplayer game’s graphics and adds new, exclusive content.
One bit of that mobile-exclusive content is the relic system, which drops random tools on the map that killers and survivors can use to try and turn the tables on their foes. In true Dead by Daylight fashion, relics come with a set of challenges that, once completed, unlock special cosmetics.
Dead by Daylight mobile is available on Android and Apple devices.
