DE Jurrell Casey added to Titans bobblehead collection

Tennessee Titans season ticket holders are receiving a little something different in their set of gifts this year.

The Titans’ bobblehead collection now includes a figurine for veteran defensive end Jurrell Casey. With this, he’s also the first active Titan to earn a place in the collection.

He joins the ranks of Eddie George, Steve McNair, Jevon Kearse, Kevin Dyson, Frank Wycheck and Keith Bulluck — all of which were included in past giveaways.

While the gesture may seem small, Casey sees it as an honor.

“That was actually a surprise, when I saw that, the list of guys who’ve had the bobbleheads,” Casey said in a report by the team’s Jim Wyatt. “To be the first active player to get one, that is definitely a blessing, and it shows the respect I get around the organization, I feel.

The recognition is something Casey has earned as a consistently key piece of the team’s defense.

Last year, Casey racked up 72 tackles, 50 quarterback pressures and a team-high seven sacks.

Casey was also invited to the fourth Pro bowl of his career at the end of last season, but decided to sit out as he recovers from a knee injury.

Expect Casey to be a factor once more as the Titans prepare to take the field again in 2019.
