De Gea and Rashford return, Fernandes starts - Predicted Manchester United line-up vs Chelsea

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been tipped to make as many as four changes to his Manchester United XI for this afternoon's Premier League clash with Chelsea.

The Red Devils head to Stamford Bridge on the back of a goalless draw at home to Real Sociedad in the Europa League on Thursday night, a game that saw the likes of Bruno Fernandes, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, and Fred all start despite being 4-0 up from the first-leg.

With that said, Solskjaer did withdraw the aforementioned trio at half-time.

Furthermore, he gave Marcus Rashford a 45 minute run out in the second half at Old Trafford and later revealed those decisions were made with the Chelsea game in mind.

"Yes, I’ve got to say that they are very very fit athletes who recover well, normally they play every game for the full 90 minutes so today I was very pleased to get them 45 minutes each," Solskjaer said.

"Forty-five minutes on a Thursday is good preparation for a Sunday, definitely better than no minutes and then maybe training too much tomorrow because they are eager, and they might over-cook it.

"I am very pleased with the two of them not having any injuries because that’s the risk I always take with playing them, minutes is fine, but every tackle or sprint, you’re a bit worried."

In terms of Man United injuries, Scott McTominay, Paul Pogba, Juan Mata, and Phil Jones are the four players that will not be involved in west London.

Meanwhile, Daniel James and Edinson Cavani are facing late fitness tests, as confirmed by Solskjaer.

"They [Paul Pogba and Scott] are out. They’ve not trained, Edinson hasn’t trained yet, so I wouldn’t be too optimistic about that. but miracles can happen," he told the club's official website. "It was just a tweak [for Dan]. I need to give him until Saturday or even Sunday so, hopefully, he can shake it off, but I’m not sure."

So, what will the Norwegian tactician do at Stamford Bridge?

As per the Manchester Evening News, the predicted Man United team has David De Gea, Harry Maguire, Luke Shaw, and Rashford as the four changes from the side that started against Real Sociedad.

Predicted Man United XI vs Chelsea (4-2-3-1): De Gea; Wan-Bissaka, Bailly, Maguire, Shaw; Fred, Matic, Fernandes; Greenwood, Rashford, Martial
