De Bruyne and Torres to start but no Carson - predicted Man City team vs Brighton

Kevin De Bruyne could return to the Manchester City starting XI vs Brighton.

City will travel down South on Tuesday for their penultimate Premier League match of the season and will be hoping to put in a strong display ahead of the Champions League final.

With the trip to Porto less than two weeks away, Pep Guardiola has been buoyed by De Bruyne 's return to fitness, after he missed the last two matches.

The Blues boss revealed that the midfield maestro 'feels good' after getting back to training over the last two days. Though there may be a risk in throwing him straight back into action, it's also important that De Bruyne gets some minutes under his belt before the final and he could start at the Amex as a result.

One player who will definitely be returning to the side is goalkeeper Ederson after he was given the night off for Friday's victory over Newcastle United, with Scott Carson handed his debut in his stead.

Guradiola has confirmed that the Brazilian will start the last two games as preparations for Chelsea begin to ramp up, which could hint that he plans to name a strong side against Brighton.

That could see the centre-back pairing of John Stones and Ruben Dias returning, with Aleks Zinchenko also coming back in at left-back. Joao Cancelo may keep his starting berth, however, in order to give Kyle Walker a rest.

Bernardo Silva and Rodri may also be given a break after playing 90 minutes on Friday, with De Bruyne and Fernandinho taking their spots in the middle alongside Ilkay Gundogan.

Likewise, Raheem Sterling and Gabriel Jesus may make way in the forward three for Phil Foden and Riyad Mahrez to return to the flanks.

It would be harsh, however, to drop Ferran Torres after his fantastic hat-trick against Newcastle and the Spaniard may be given a chance to lead the line through the middle of the attack.

Predicted Man City team vs Brighton: Ederson; Cancelo, Stones, Dias, Zinchenko; De Bruyne, Fernandinho, Gundogan; Mahrez, Torres, Foden.
