De Bruyne and Gundogan to start - Predicted Man City line up vs Borussia Dortmund

There are bound to be several changes to Manchester City's starting XI when they take on Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League on Wednesday night.

Pep Guardiola rested several of his key players on Saturday as he watched his side fall to a shock 2-1 defeat against a Leeds United side that played more than half of the match with 10-men.

City will have to quickly pick themselves up from the defeat if they wish to overcome Dortmund and advance to a Champions League semi-final for the first time under Guardiola.

The Blues hold a 2-1 advantage from last week's first leg and will likely be boosted by the returns of several crucial players to the team.

Perhaps the most important returnee is centre-back star Ruben Dias. The Portuguese was given a rare afternoon off on Saturday and was keenly missed, but will almost certainly come back into the side. Kyle Walker may also be back with Aleks Zinchenko moving to left-back from midfield.

There could be wholesale changes in the middle of the park with vital trio Kevin De Bruyne, Rodri and Ilkay Gundogan all coming back into the fold after being rested against Leeds. This would see Fernandinho and Bernardo Silva make way.

Gabriel Jesus may be only the fourth player - along with Zinchenko, Ederson and John Stones - to keep his spot in the side if he is selected to lead the line.

Raheem Sterling and - scorer on Saturday - Ferran Torres may both be dropped with Riyad Mahrez and Phil Foden being selected on either flank.

Predicted Man City starting XI vs Borussia Dortmund: Ederson; Walker, Stones, Dias, Zinchenko; De Bruyne, Rodri, Gundogan; Mahrez, Jesus, Foden.
