DC vs MI: Jake Fraser-McGurk smashes 15-ball fifty against Mumbai Indians

Delhi Capitals' opener Jake Fraser-McGurk took his team off to a fiery start as the Australian batsman raced to a half-century off just 15 balls, following Mumbai Indians' decision to put the hosts in to bat after winning the toss at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.

He equalled his previous fastest T20 fifty, which also came off 15 balls earlier this season against Sunrisers Hyderabad. It is Fraser-McGurk's third half-century in his debut IPL edition.

He is now the third batsman to have scored a half-century in 15 or fewer balls twice in T20 cricket. Kolkata Knight Riders' players Andre Russell and Sunil Narine are the other two.

The next best in terms of fastest IPL fifty for Delhi Capitals are Chris Morris (17 balls), Rishabh Pant (18 balls) and

Prithvi Shaw (18 balls).

Delhi scored 92/0 in the six overs of powerplay, their personal best. Fraser-McGurk scored 78 of those, which is the third best by a batsman in powerplay in the history of IPL.

DC brought up the three-figure mark in 6.4 overs, with Abishek Porel hitting MI captain Hardik Pandya for a six.

Legspinner Chawal finally broke the rampaging 114-runpartnership off the third ball of the seventh over, getting Fraser McGurk (84 off 27 balls) caught by Mohammad Nabi at mid-wicket off a wrong-un.
