DAZN raise prices of monthly subscriptions ahead of busy boxing calendar

Sports streaming service DAZN have today raised the prices of their monthly subscriptions.

The price has gone up from its previous price of £1.99 per month to a new price of £7.99 per month.

News of the price hike has, unsurprisingly, been met with a frosty reception on social media.

Others, including the former super featherweight champion Barry Jones, have been more generous in their appraisal.

Since launching in December 2020, DAZN have secured exclusivity to fights with a number of popular boxers including Canelo Alvarez, and Gennady Golovkin.

Other coming up on DAZN schedule include Katie Taylor, Josh Warrington and Conor Benn.

In early March, DAZN also signed a five-year deal with promoter Eddie Hearn.

This does not, however, include Anthony Joshua fights. His deal with Sky Sports Box Office remains in place for the foreseeable future.

The new DAZN monthly subscription price includes over 30 Fight Nights throughout the year, including 16 Matchroom fights.

Away from boxing, DAZN have also secured exclusive UEFA Women's Champions League.
