Closure of major Nottingham route announced as work takes place on new cycle path

Motorists are being warned about a set of roadworks planned for a busy Nottingham junction.

The closure will take place at the Edwards Lane junction with Hucknall Road in the city, heading northbound only.

They will be in place at the roundabout at Hucknall Road to the traffic signal controlled crossing.

The works are to allow for a tree to be felled and a cycleway to be constructed.

The roadworks will take place on Saturday, November 13 and Sunday, November 14 and then Saturday, November 20 and Sunday, November 21.

They are expected to begin at 6.30am and be finished by 5.30pm.

The works are being carried out by Nottingham City Council - motorists are being pre-warned about the work, in case they lead to some delays.
