Days left to claim £58million prize or lose it forever

A lottery winner has just days left to claim their £58million prize - or lose it forever.

The EuroMillions ticket was bought in the UK in March but has yet to be successfully claimed.

One attempted claim has been rejected by Camelot without explanation.

The EuroMillions winner scooped the jackpot on March 17 and has until Sunday, September 13, to claim the life-changing sum, reports The Mirror.

The winning numbers were 5, 7, 8, 16, 20 with Lucky Stars 2, 12.

The windfall would make the ticket holder richer than One Direction star Harry Styles and street art supremo Banksy.

In addition to the £58m there are 11 more big money prizes sitting unclaimed on the National Lottery's website totalling more than £6m, including five £1m wins.

The highest unclaimed jackpot was £63.8m won in 2012 by a ticket holder from the Stevenage and Hitchin area of Herts.

Throughout this month Lottery bosses Camelot will be giving away bumper prizes in a bid to help ailing retailers get back on their feet after lockdown.

Upcoming changes will also see around one million people win £5 in addition to the normal two-number lucky dip in 'Must Be Won' draws where the jackpot isn't won.
