Corner shop owner Dev Alahan was accused of 'daylight robbery' as he charged Steve McDonald for a pack of sausages on Coronation Street.
Horrified Corrie viewers took to Twitter to have their say after noticing the charge for Steve's breakfast seemed rather steep.
Fans think Dev, whose corner shop is a mainstay for the residents of Weatherfield, may be taking advantage of the coronavirus pandemic.
Steve, who went to Dev's to buy sausages after the cafe ran out of meat, looked stunned.
"£5.28 for a pack of frozen sausages??" cried one fan.
"£5.28 for a packet of frozen sausages in Dev’s??! It’s a different kind of mask he needs!" exclaimed another.
"WHAT.. £5.28 for a small bag of sausages..!! That is a Covid 19 rip off Dev," another raged.

Corrie fans were also captivated by actor Jimmy Harkishin's post-lockdown transformation with a new beard.

A fourth commented: "Well lockdown has clearly agreed with Dev! He looks so healthy."
And Colson Smith, who plays new police recruit Craig Tinker, has undergone a dramatic weight-loss journey during lockdown leaving him with little resemblance to his character before filming stopped in March.
The actor is also sporting new blonde hair.
