A childcare teacher has faced a Sydney court accused of assaulting a toddler more than half a dozen times.
Paige Gibson, 26, is facing seven common assault charges and one count of assault occasioning actual bodily harm over the alleged incidents in the week to March 17.
Police allege a two-year-old boy was assaulted by his educator at a Castle Hill daycare centre.
The case was mentioned for the first time before Parramatta Local Court on Tuesday and adjourned to June 16.
Gibson's bail was continued until that time.
