It was a day to remember for one Wishaw girl as she celebrated her first birthday on the date she was born.
Little Ava-Rose Ford had a special fourth birthday party at the Loyola Centre in Campbell Street having been born on February 29, 2016.
Ava-Rose’s gran, Yvonne Hay, said: “It was a great day and Ava-Rose really enjoyed herself.
“She felt really special knowing this was the first birthday she’s had on February 29.
“We usually celebrate our birthday on February 28 so it was nice to do it on her real birthday this year.”
Joining Ava-Rose at her birthday party were her brothers Kyron and Blake and other family and friends.
There was even a special appearance from Disney’s Snow White and Spiderman to keep all the kids entertained.
Yvonne added: “She is Snow White daft so she couldn’t believe it when Snow White walked into the hall.
“She was mesmerised by her. The entertainers really did make the kids day."
