Dawn raids see two people arrested for drugs and money laundering offences in Bury

Two people have been arrested after officers in Bury conducted a drugs raid on an address in Radcliffe.

On Tuesday morning (September 7), officers from the Bury Divisional Tasking Team and Radcliffe Neighbourhood team executed a Misuse of Drugs Act warrant at an address on Scarr Avenue.

Pictures from the scene saw officers attending the address before searching the property.

Two people - a male and female - were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply and money laundering offences.

Posting on the GMP Bury South Facebook page, a spokesperson wrote: “Earlier this morning (07/09) officers executed a Misuse of Drugs Act warrant at an address in Radcliffe.

“A male and female were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply and money laundering.”

During the search, one officer was attacked by one of the dogs living at the property although no injuries were sustained.

A GMP spokesperson added: "A couple of lively dogs were in the property at the time and one officer was nipped by one as they made entry.

"Thankfully no injuries were sustained though."

Both people currently remain in custody for questioning.
