Davy Russell hopes to be back in action at the weekend after hurting his ankle in a fall at Fairyhouse on Wednesday.
Russell, who has the incentive of riding the exciting Envoi Allen in the Lawlor's Of Naas Novice Hurdle on Sunday, took a fall from Column Of Fire at the second-last flight when about to challenge for the lead in the opening maiden hurdle.
He was sent for precautionary X-rays which showed nothing was broken.
"I twisted my ankle when I fell. It must have caught in something," he said.
"We have a few days off now, so hopefully I'll be back for the weekend."
