Former Hollyoaks star Davinia Taylor looked incredible as she celebrated her birthday in Manchester.

Davinia, who previously told how she turned her life around and dropped from a size 16 to a size eight, offered her knowledge with an audience of 200 people at the Foodwell wellbeing restaurant in her home city.

The birthday girl, 44, turned heads as she hosted a sell-out talk in Spinningfields in an elegant silky black belted jumpsuit with wedge heels.

Davinia, from Wigan, previously said she lost weight and has kept off the pounds for years with a regime that includes following a lower sugar and paleo diet, running, saunas and intermittent fasting.

The actress and toilet roll heiress, who played Jude Cunningham in the Channel Four soap Hollyoaks, also credits cold showers for her transformation which help to balance her hormones.

And, sharing before and after pictures, she says 'Biohacking', also known as DIY biology, have made a difference to her mind and body.

She wrote: "What a difference a bit of #Biohacking makes!!!

"Detox, reduce inflammatory foods, run, sauna, supplement, wim Hof, cold exposure, NAD+, nootropics , kombucha, intermittent fasting, gut health, knowing my genes all these protocols have helped me stay mentally healthy and if I do that the body follows suit !!!"

Davinia, who has launched a book It's Not a Diet and supplement range WillPowders, spoke to her followers in Manchester about the benefits of bio-hacking at the FoodWell event and discussed all things relating to weight loss and hormones alongside industry experts.

Writing about the event on her Instagram, the mother-of-four said: "So to friends old and new ... I thank you for coming yesterday.

"You shared tales and experiences of survival from cancer, child bereavement, addiction, divorce, dementia and depression to name a few and I feel honoured to be there to listen and learn from you all.

"Thank you so much for spending a drizzly day with me and may I say how your enthusiasm for health made me feel less alone in this sometimes daunting space!

"We are in it together and as far as I’m concerned tales of survival and thriving in the face of adversity is the best lesson there is. Love you all!"

And, in a shout-out to the couple of men at the event she said: "You’re brave men to hang out with 200 Perimenopausal women!!!!!! Let’s do it again soon."

Last year she said about the 'before' photo: "Think I'm pushing a size 16 there and then I’m down to an eight (and maintained it for years!!)

"No yo-yo or massive cravings either. All beings in the brain #brainhealth #goodfats #lowsugar #paleo."

Davinia, who was part of the Primrose Hill set with Sadie Frost in the 90s, made a whirlwind return to Hollyoaks in 2016 as party girl Jude, the big sister of Cindy Cunningham who went on the run in Spain.

Davinia, the daughter of Alan Murphy who founded the AM Paper toilet roll factory, previously played Jude from 1996 to 1998.
