Davina Porter to return as Outlander narrator for audio version of newest book

With the Outlander adventures set to continue in the latest and ninth book in the series, fans got some more good news after it was confirmed Davina Porter will return as narrator for the audio version.

The latest instalment 'Go Tell The Bees That I Am Gone' is set to be released at the end of this month (November 23) and to celebrate author Diana Gabaldon is hosting a special event.

The much-anticipated follow up to Written In My Own Heart's Blood has already received 100,000 pre-orders for the audiobook version, which is poised to be an instant bestseller.

The ninth Outlander book comes out this month (Diana Gabaldon)

After a seven year wait -the last book was released in 2014 - Go Tell The Bees will continue the story of Jamie and Claire who are now facing up to what the American Revolution could mean for their relationship and the people they've gathered at Fraser's Ridge.

Author Diana Gabaldon is delighted to see one particular person for the audio version, she said: “Davina Porter’s voice has been connected to Outlander since the very first book. Many Outlander fans can’t imagine any other voice but Davina’s when they hear Claire.

"I’m forever grateful to Davina and Recorded Books for bringing my books to life!”

On Monday, November 22, Diana will be hosting a special virtual event celebrating all things Outlander and the launch of the new novel.

Her one and only book event, Diana will discuss Go Tell the Bees, the Starz TV show, and so much more, in conversation with Maureen Lee Lenker from Entertainment Weekly.

The author will also answer readers’ burning questions—you can submit yours for review when you register for your ticket, which can be booked here.

Troy Juliar, Chief Content Officer for RBmedia added: “2021 commemorates 30 years since the 1991 publication of the first Outlander book—Diana’s sweeping historical fiction of time travel, war, and romance—which inspired the bingeworthy TV series on Starz.

"Over the last three decades, Outlander has become a worldwide phenomenon with a following of millions of readers and listeners. We’re honoured to continue as the audiobook publisher for this unforgettable series.”
