Davide Ancelotti branded 'phenomenon' as Real Madrid star gushes

Davide Ancelotti is a 'phenomenon' who will go far as a coach, according to Real Madrid star Dani Ceballos.

Ancelotti Jr is leaving Los Blancos along with his father Carlo, who will now become Brazil boss. The 35-year-old is one of the leading contenders for the Rangers job.

He has been hailed for his work alongside his dad in Madrid and a key component of the success of the veteran boss at various clubs, including Bayern Munich and Napoli.

A highly-rated coach, many of the players who have played under the dup have talked up his contribution.

And Ceballos has added his voice to that as he paid tribute to the outgoing managerial team.

He said: "First of all... thank you. Thank you for every word, every gesture, every lesson, for your humility, your simplicity, your closeness...

"For you as a coach, there's no doubt: history has already placed you in the position you deserve: the highest. But as a person, you still stand above it.

"You always wanted the best for us and cared for us as if we were family.

"That's something you never forget. And I don't want to forget your coaching staff: Davide, a phenomenon with a great future as a coach."
