David Walliams' Billionaire Boy is coming to Bristol this Easter

David Walliams’ popular production Billionaire Boy is making a huge comeback this Easter as part of a drive-in event in Bristol.

For almost a year, families have lacked the opportunity to take their little ones to see a show in a theatre.

But the next best thing is taking your kids to enjoy a production in the comfort of your own car.

The show began its national tour in 2019, but had to stop due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Now the writer and Little Britain star has teamed up with Birmingham Stage Company and Coalition Agency, for a touring production which will take place in 15 locations across the UK.

Among them will be Bristol Airport on Saturday (April 17), and if you can't make that date, the team will be at Cheltenham Racecourse the following day.

There will also be a showing in Bath on Friday, April 16.

Car Park Party first launched in summer, when Bristol played host to Horrible Histories: Barmy Britain and the Horrible Christmas pantomime.

Sound is transmitted into individual cars via the radio, and there will be drinks and snacks available on site.

What's the play about?

Billionaire Boy tells the story of twelve year old Joe Spud, the richest boy in the country! He has his own sports car, two crocodiles as pets and £100,000 a week pocket money.

But what Joe doesn’t have is a friend. So he decides to leave his posh school and start at the local comp. But things don’t go as planned for Joe and life becomes a rollercoaster as he tries to find what money can’t buy.
