David Walliams and Alesha Dixon 'in BGT bust up over Little Britain'

Things got heated between David Walliams and Alesha Dixon as the pair reportedly had tense words over his Little Britain past.

According to reports it got extremely "catty" between the Britain's Got Talent judges.

The Sun say Alisha is not at all happy about his part in the "inappropriate" show.

David used black make-up and an afro wig to play the black woman Desiree DeVere in the BBC sketch show, which ended in 2006.

He also played bearded transvestite Emily Howard in the popular programme.

He and co-star Matt Lucas have apologised for playing characters of different ethnic backgrounds in Little Britain.

But Alesha dragged up the show in a row, a studio insider told the publication.

It quickly turned awkward, a source revealed.

They said: “It kicked off after the deliberation stages of putting one of the acts into the final.

“When the artist who Alesha had backed got through she basically turned to David and said, ‘Well that’s payback for all your inappropriate Little Britain antics’.

“It was quite catty, although Alesha later insisted she was only joking. But David was stunned.

"Obviously he is not racist or homophobic, or anything-phobic in the slightest — he was upset.

“Words were exchanged, and the rest of filming was pretty awkward.

“He didn’t hang around after, and was the first judge to leave.”

Earlier this year, Little Britain it was removed from BBC iPlayer, Netflix and BritBox after objections resurfaced.

The pair said they "regret that we played characters of other races".

"Once again we want to make it clear that it was wrong and we are very sorry," they said in their statements.

David has also said he would "definitely do it differently" in today's cultural landscape.
